Keith Haring

About the artist

Keith Haring (1958 – 1990) made the streets his studio and the subway his gallery. Bursting out of 1980s New York, Haring’s bold line work and radiant characters captured a raw, electric optimism charged with social urgency. He painted like a DJ spins records—fast, rhythmic, and for the people. Haring’s work is as relevant today as it was during the AIDS crisis and the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. Mania celebrates his legacy as one of the purest expressions of street art’s potential to inspire, disrupt, and unify.
