EVOL

About the artist

EVOL (b. 1972) transforms the overlooked into the unforgettable. Based in Berlin, the artist is known for turning ordinary urban surfaces—electrical boxes, planters, cardboard scraps—into meticulously stenciled apartment blocks and brutalist facades. His architectural miniatures echo the uniformity of postwar housing and the anonymity of city life, rendered with uncanny precision and subtle wit. Whether installed on the street or exhibited in a gallery, EVOL’s work invites viewers to rethink their surroundings—to find narrative in concrete, and poetry in the forgotten. At Mania, we see EVOL as a master of illusion and scale, quietly reshaping how we experience urban space.
