The Green Contemporaries marks a first for Mania Contemporary: our debut solo show by a female artist. In this bold and joy-fueled exhibition, Toronto’s Queeny Rebel Empire transforms reclaimed materials into radiant, symbolic worlds—blending eco-conscious process with maximalist storytelling.

Using recycled latex paint, found wood, and bursts of collage, Queeny creates a universe where divine feminine energy, street iconography, and surreal humor collide. Each piece is a standalone manifesto—celebrating protest, myth, memory, and the beauty of veering off the prescribed path.

A love letter to sustainability and soulfulness, The Green Contemporaries reminds us: in Queeny’s world, grace and grit are the same thing—and the revolution is always handmade.
