Homeworks takes the digital invader out of the arcade and drops him into the school notebook—lined up like math problems on graph paper. Released in 2006, this hand-pulled screen print arranges Invader’s signature pixel aliens in a red-and-black grid, drawing on the aesthetics of coding, structure, and repetition. Numbered 33/100 and emboss-stamped by the artist, the piece was originally acquired from Yves Laroche Gallery in Montreal. A rare early edition that captures Invader’s precision, playfulness, and deep roots in both street art and systems thinking.

About The Artist

Invader takes pixelation to the pavement. Operating in stealth since the late ’90s, this anonymous French artist has installed thousands of tile mosaics across global cities, bringing 8-bit nostalgia into public consciousness. Influenced by retro gaming culture and guerrilla street tactics, Invader’s work reclaims urban space with playful subversion. He’s not just tagging walls—he’s coding them with culture. At Mania, we view Invader as a digital-age outsider who bridges fine art and street rebellion with quiet precision.
