Part assemblage, part acrylic painting, Truck (2020) is a sculptural homage to Montréal’s urban ecosystem. Built from salvaged wood, street signage, fruit crates, and everyday packaging, the piece outlines the form of a Western Star utility truck—half-painted, half-constructed. At its center, an LED-lit Montréal emblem glows through layers of repurposed texture, serving as both visual anchor and cultural symbol. García’s fusion of precision brushwork on the cab with raw, collaged materials in the truck bed blurs the line between realism and abstraction. Truck isn’t just about movement—it’s about memory, infrastructure, and the beauty found in the discarded.
