In Versailles (Blue), Invader brings his pixelated precision to a palace of excess. Inspired by the Hall of Mirrors at Château de Versailles, the work transforms a symbol of royal opulence into a digital-era artifact—flattened, stylized, and unmistakably Invader. Released in 2018 as a screenprint in an edition of 100, each piece is signed and numbered by the artist. Ornate in concept, minimal in execution, Versailles (Blue) collapses centuries of history into a single image: symmetrical, reflective, and subversively elegant.

About The Artist

Invader takes pixelation to the pavement. Operating in stealth since the late ’90s, this anonymous French artist has installed thousands of tile mosaics across global cities, bringing 8-bit nostalgia into public consciousness. Influenced by retro gaming culture and guerrilla street tactics, Invader’s work reclaims urban space with playful subversion. He’s not just tagging walls—he’s coding them with culture. At Mania, we view Invader as a digital-age outsider who bridges fine art and street rebellion with quiet precision.
